Ideal place for a picnic in Montmartre
Are you tired of always find yourself crammed like sardines in the Jardin du Luxembourg or Tuileries? You want to relax yourself just the time of a picnic far from the bustling city and its tourists?
We invite you to discover two very nice and little known places to enjoy a bucolic picnic as if you were there !
First of all, the place that had not been thought of… Just opposite to the Vineyards of Montmartre there is a small green square formerly called “Freedom Square.”
Surrounded on both sides by vines, this park is ideal for a picnic with his lover. So you can at sunset, let you tell odes of love while feeling the smell of musk and believing that you are alone in the world.
The little tip from the Terrass: Feel free to bring a bottle of chilled rosé, a tablecloth and some candles…
Our second discovery is an unknown wild garden to the public and yet so charming in its entirety.
The Garden Frederic Dard, located in the heart of Montmartre, is a symbolic place that has hosted many artists of the 19th century. With minimal intervention from the City of Paris, the park remained the most natural state possible. It is surrounded by a fence of chestnut and occupied primarily by creepers.
Perfect for a lunch with family or friends, you will find some openings in the aisles to nestle you and disappear from the Parisian crowd a few hours time.
The little tip from the Terrass: Take a game of cards and a die and spend your afternoon in the lush greenery and soothing.
